One day, in a small Serbian town marked by war, a strange group of travelling actors emerges from behind the curtain of illusion, revealing a world long forgotten and a humanity lost in time. “Playing the Victim” is a play by Russian brothers Oleg and Vladimir Presnyakov. The story follows Valya, a 30-year-old man who earns a living by reenacting crimes for the police, playing the role of the victim. The play combines dark humor, social absurdity in contemporary Russia, and a biting critique of modern alienation.
